IFC Films to screen PING PONG PLAYA in the U.S.

playa.jpg U.S. rights to Jessica Yu's PING PONG PLAYA have been picked up by IFC Films with a planned theatrical release slated for September 5th. The film, which marks the fiction feature debut for Yu, closed the Asian-American Film Festival July 19th in New York.

This election season has been so long and bizarre that I had to see it through the filter of satire, with daily doses of Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, and more recently the Saturday Night Live sketches which essentially wrote themselves.
