Black Public Media and The National Black Programming Consortium recently launched their website for THE MASCULINITY PROJECT. For this project, BPM asks, what does it mean to be a black man in America today? The American black male character is often the product of a popular culture image without true context. The Masculinity Project uses media to create a virtual community record of the true issues affecting black men and black community in America. Many veteran, youth and emerging filmmakers answered and the result is a multi-generational conversation which now needs your input. Watch videos, have your say in forums, engage our interactive flash time line, and communicate with the media makers via their profiles, even set up a profile of your own.
